We arrived at Raker Lakes on Friday 3 May 2024 for an eagerly anticipated 72-hour session, faced by wet and grey conditions. There was no pathetic fallacy here though, as we were optimistic about the weekend ahead. After the routine discussion about pegs, locations, conditions and tactical approach, the traps were set. As the approach often is, to demonstrate efficacy and enjoy our different ‘flavours’, we fished solely with the Enigma Baits boilie range – whole, chopped and crumbed – placing each of the range over our selected spots. We took advantage of the abundance of features, fishing to islands, margins, close in, open water, and weed beds! The session ended with 11 runs, 9 landed – quite the result for what can be a tricky, high-pressure venue! Head over to our Instagram enigma_baits to take a look at some of the fish caught over the weekend… 5 fish over the 20lb mark, and a good bunch of upper teens🎣
Our next blog will provide a bit of insight into the development of our next range, arriving in the coming months 🔥
